Job Description:
Thrive Therapy is currently hiring a Speech and Language Therapist (SLP) to join our growing team. We are looking for an SLP that is confident and capable of working autonomously, as well as in a team environment.
The successful SLP will be hired as a contractor and the caseload will primarily be working with the pediatric and adolescent population (ages 1- 18 years), although experience working with adults is an asset.
The position is currently part-time, with an awaiting caseload, with opportunities / expectations to grow into a full-time position, if desired by the successful applicant. The work hours and days are flexible; no evenings or weekends required.
Salary: $70 - $80 per hour

Requirements:

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited University.

Registration with the Nova Scotia College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists (NSCASLP).

Professional liability insurance.

Legal ability to work in Canada.

Criminal background check and vulnerable sector check required.

A passion for working with clients and families with various needs!
Responsibilities:

Assess the strengths and needs of clients referred for SLP, through formal and informal evaluation, as well as consultation with the family and other community partners (as relevant).

Develop and implement individualized treatment programs for each client based on evaluations and re-evaluate progress at regular intervals.

Collaborate with the client, family, and community partners for program development and implementation.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team to complete assessments, reports, and follow-up visits in a timely manner.

Participate in joint therapy sessions, as appropriate.
Work Location:
-
A mix of clinic, home, school, and community visits will be available.

Therapists have flexibility to accept or decline referrals based on location, interest, availability, etc.
Expected hours: 3 – 30 per week, based on preference; option to grow into a full-time position for interested applicants (however, not required).
Schedule:

Monday to Friday; weekend availability based on preference (however, not required).
